Workshop instructor: Maria Levitsky and Daniil Chechin (Prostor Design Studio)
Hi! We are Prostor design studio, founded in 2023 by two architects Maria Levitsky and Daniil Chechin. Our primary focus is on Furniture and Spatial Design, rooted in principles of multifunctionality, sustainability, and the circular economy.

This journey began during our study time when Daniil stumbled upon the "Happy Lab". It was there that we started crafting furniture for our own purpose. Simultaneously, we challenged ourselves by participating in various spatial design and small-scale architecture competitions. Interestingly, the passion for craftsmanship and creative design that initially led us to architecture came full circle. Over time, we delved deeper into the topics of Local Production and Distributed Design, nurturing our inspiration and motivation to further investigate this avenue, which ultimately brought us to where we are today.

Happylab is Vienna's largest makerspace - an open workshop where people can work on their projects around the clock with digital production machines, such as 3D printers and laser cutters, and receive support in realizing their ideas. Regular workshops are conducted to impart the know-how for handling these machines - no prior knowledge necessary! As part of our "School of Makers," members from our community host workshops on various topics. www.happylab.at
