School of Makers: Learning electronics from scratch
Welcome to the Introduction to Electronics Course, where we will embark on an exciting journey into the core principles of electronics. Whether you're a beginner or looking to reinforce your understanding, this course will cover essential concepts such as voltage, current, and resistance.
During our two-hour workshop, participants will not only delve into the theoretical aspects but also engage in hands-on experimentation directly with electronic components. Assisted by sensors, you'll have the opportunity to work on a physical electronic board known as the ElectroLab. This meticulously designed board serves as an ideal platform for learning practical electronics.
We will explore the roles of resistors, capacitors, diodes, LEDs, and transistors, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how these components function within electronic circuits. One of the highlights of this workshop is an in-depth exploration of the iconic 555 timer IC, demonstrating its applications in various electronic circuits.
This hands-on session aims to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application, providing participants with valuable practical experience. Whether you're interested in hobbyist projects or preparing for advanced studies, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the exciting world of electronics. Join us for an immersive and interactive experience as we demystify electronic components and circuits using the ElectroLab board.

Event Location: Happylab Vienna (Schönngasse 15 - 17, 1020 Vienna)
Happylab is Vienna's largest makerspace - an open workshop where people can work on their projects around the clock with digital production machines, such as 3D printers and laser cutters, and receive support in realizing their ideas. Regular workshops are conducted to impart the know-how for handling these machines - no prior knowledge necessary! As part of our "School of Makers," members from our community host workshops on various topics. www.happylab.at
Cancellation Policy: Tickets can be cancelled up to 1 week before the start of the workshop. After that, a refund of the purchase price is not possible.
